🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 17

“The Holy Spirit Shares What Belongs to Jesus”

📖 “He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
—John 16:14b (NKJV)

Have you ever had a friend share something special with you—like a toy or a fun secret? It makes you feel close, right?

The Bible tells us the Holy Spirit shares with us what belongs to Jesus!

That means He helps us understand the love Jesus has for us. He helps us know the truth about what’s right and wrong. He helps us remember Bible verses and how to follow Jesus every day.

The Holy Spirit never keeps Jesus a secret—He helps us know Him better and love Him more!

Think About It:

  • What do you think Jesus wants you to know about Him today?
  • Can you ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand Jesus more?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me learn about Jesus. I want to know Him more and follow Him every day. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 15

“The Holy Spirit Knows What’s Coming”

📖 “And He will tell you things to come.”
—John 16:13c (NKJV)

Have you ever been surprised by something—like a test at school or a change of plans? It can feel scary not knowing what’s coming next.

But guess what? The Holy Spirit is never surprised. He knows everything that’s going to happen, and He can help prepare your heart.

Sometimes He gives you a little feeling that something important is coming. Or He might help you remember a Bible verse that gives you peace when things change.

When you stay close to God, you don’t have to be afraid of the future. You have the Holy Spirit, and He knows exactly what’s ahead.

Think About It:

  • What helps you feel calm when you don’t know what’s going to happen?
  • Can you ask the Holy Spirit to help you trust God more?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for knowing what’s coming. Help me to trust You, even when I don’t understand. I know You will take care of me. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 14

“The Holy Spirit Speaks What God Says”

📖 “He will not speak on His own… He will speak only what He hears.”
—John 16:13b (NKJV)

Have you ever played the game “telephone,” where someone whispers a message and it gets passed around? Sometimes the message gets all mixed up. But when the Holy Spirit speaks, He never gets it wrong.

That’s because the Spirit only says what God the Father tells Him to say. He never makes mistakes or changes the message. He speaks truth—straight from God!

When you read your Bible or pray, the Holy Spirit helps you understand what God is saying. You can trust His voice because He is always honest and always loving.

Think About It:

  • How can you tell if something is really from God?
  • Are you asking the Holy Spirit to help you listen?

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, thank You for speaking only what God says. Help me to listen to Your voice and follow You. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 13

“The Holy Spirit Shows Me What’s True”

📖 “The Spirit of truth… will guide you into all truth.”
—John 16:13a (NKJV)

Sometimes it’s hard to know what’s right and what’s wrong. People say different things. Friends might act one way, but you’re not sure it’s okay.

That’s why Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of truth. He helps us know what is right, and He shows us the right way to go.

When you read the Bible, pray, or even think about what to do, the Holy Spirit is there to guide your heart. He helps you follow Jesus, even when it’s hard.

Think About It:

  • Can you think of a time you needed to know what was right?
  • Did you ask the Holy Spirit to help you choose?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, please guide me into truth. Help me know what is right and give me the strength to do it. I want to follow You. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 12

“The Holy Spirit Helps Me Remember God’s Word”

📖 “He will remind you of all things that I said to you.”
—John 14:26b (NKJV)

Have you ever heard a Bible verse in Sunday school or during bedtime, and then remembered it later when you needed it? That’s not just your brain working—that’s the Holy Spirit helping you!

Jesus said the Holy Spirit would remind us of the things He taught. That means when you hear or read the Bible, the Spirit helps you remember it at just the right time.

If you’re feeling afraid, He might remind you that Jesus said, “Do not be afraid.”
If you’re being mean, He might remind you, “Be kind to one another.”

The Holy Spirit wants to help you follow Jesus—and remembering God’s Word is a big part of that!

Think About It:

  • What is one Bible verse you remember right now?
  • Can you think of a time the Holy Spirit helped you remember a verse?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me remember what Jesus said. Please keep teaching me God’s Word and help me live it out. Amen.

“The Holy Spirit Helps Me Learn”

📖 “The Holy Spirit… will teach you all things…”
—John 14:26a (NKJV)

Have you ever had a teacher help you understand something that seemed hard at first?

That’s what the Holy Spirit does! He is your special Helper who helps you learn about God.

When you read your Bible or hear someone talk about Jesus, the Holy Spirit helps you understand what it means. He teaches you how to live like Jesus, how to love others, and how to know right from wrong.

You don’t have to figure everything out by yourself. Just ask the Holy Spirit to teach you—and He will!

Think About It:

  • Is there something in the Bible you want to understand better?
  • Did you know you can ask the Holy Spirit to help you?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me learn about God. Please teach me more every day so I can follow Jesus with my whole heart. Amen.

“The Holy Spirit Helps Me Grow Good Fruit”

📖 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…”
—Galatians 5:22–23 (NKJV)

Have you ever seen an apple grow from a branch? It doesn’t happen all at once. It takes time, sunshine, and care.

That’s how the Holy Spirit works in you! When you believe in Jesus, He gives you the Holy Spirit—and the Spirit helps you grow good things inside your heart, like love, joy, patience, and more.

These are called the fruit of the Spirit. You don’t have to try really hard to grow them by yourself. Just stay close to Jesus and let the Holy Spirit help you change little by little.

When you’re kind when it’s hard, or patient when you want to be mad—that’s fruit growing!

Think About It:

  • What’s one “fruit” you want God to help you grow?
  • Can you think of a time you saw the Holy Spirit help you?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me grow good things in my heart. Please help me be more like Jesus every day. Amen.

“The Holy Spirit Points Me to Jesus”

📖 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
—John 16:14 (NKJV)

Do you know what a flashlight does in the dark? It helps you see what you couldn’t see before.

That’s what the Holy Spirit does! He shines a light on Jesus so we can know Him better.

When you read your Bible, or hear someone talk about Jesus, the Holy Spirit is the One who helps you understand it. He helps you feel how much Jesus loves you, and reminds you of all the things Jesus said and did.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t try to be the center of attention. He’s always pointing us to Jesus—so we can follow Him, trust Him, and love Him more.

Think About It:

  • What is one thing you know about Jesus that makes you love Him?
  • Can you ask the Holy Spirit to help you learn more about Him today?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me see who Jesus is. Please teach me more about Him so I can love Him with all my heart. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 8

“When I Don’t Know What to Pray”

📖 “…the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us…”
—Romans 8:26b (NKJV)

Have you ever been so sad or confused that you didn’t know what to say to God? Maybe you just sat quietly, or maybe you cried a little.

Guess what? God understands—even when you can’t find the right words.

The Holy Spirit helps us pray! He talks to God for us when we don’t know what to say. He understands your heart and carries your prayers to the Father, even if all you can do is whisper, “Help me, God.”

You don’t have to be perfect when you pray. Just be honest. God listens—and the Holy Spirit is always there to help you.

Think About It:

  • Is there something on your heart right now that’s hard to talk about?
  • Can you trust the Holy Spirit to help you pray, even in silence?

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, sometimes I don’t know what to say. But You do. Thank You for praying for me. Help me talk to God with my whole heart, even when I’m quiet. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 7

“God’s Spirit Leads Me!”

📖 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
—Romans 8:14 (NKJV)

When you go for a walk with someone who knows the way, do you let them lead? That’s what it’s like when we follow God’s Spirit.

The Holy Spirit knows everything—where to go, what’s safe, what’s right, and what’s best for you. When we trust Him, He leads us to make good choices, stay away from wrong things, and grow closer to Jesus.

Even if we don’t always understand, we can ask the Holy Spirit to help us obey. He is gentle, loving, and always with us.

So next time you’re not sure what to do, stop and ask, “Holy Spirit, will You lead me?”

Think About It:

  • Have you ever felt a quiet “nudge” not to do something wrong? That’s the Spirit leading you.
  • What’s one way you can let Him lead you today?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for leading me. Please help me follow You and make good choices. I want to walk with You every day. Amen.
