🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 85

Don’t Be Too Proud

“For if anyone thinks that he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”Galatians 6:3 (NASB 1995)

Sometimes we want to do everything ourselves and act like we don’t need help—but God says that’s not wise.

The Holy Spirit helps us remember we need Jesus, and we need others too!

Try This:
Ask someone for help today—even if you think you can do it alone.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me not be proud. I want to listen, ask for help, and learn from others. Amen.

Help Carry the Load

“Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.”Galatians 6:2 (NASB 1995)

Have you ever helped carry groceries? Or picked up something a friend dropped?

That’s what the Bible means when it says to “bear one another’s burdens.” The Holy Spirit helps us be kind when others are sad, hurt, or in need.

Try This:
Look for one way to help a friend or family member today.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, show me how to help others when they’re having a hard time. I want to be kind like Jesus. Amen.

Help, Don’t Hurt

“Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well.” Galatians 6:1 (NASB 1995)

What do you do when your friend makes a mistake?

Instead of laughing or telling others, the Holy Spirit wants you to help them kindly—just like Jesus helps us when we mess up.

Try This:
If someone does wrong this week, ask the Holy Spirit to show you how to help kindly.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me be gentle and kind when someone needs help. Teach me how to love like You. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 82

No Need to Compete!

“Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.”Galatians 5:26 (NASB 1995)

Have you ever wanted what someone else had—or felt jealous when they won a game?

That’s called envy, and it doesn’t come from the Holy Spirit. He helps us cheer for others, share with others, and be happy with what we have.

Try This:
Say something kind to someone today instead of trying to “beat” them.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me not to be jealous or brag. Help me be thankful and kind. Amen.

Let’s Walk With the Holy Spirit!

“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”Galatians 5:25 (NASB 1995)

If the Holy Spirit gave us life, He also wants to help us live it every day!

That means walking with Him—like walking with a friend who shows you the way to go and how to treat others kindly and truthfully.

Try This:
Take a quiet walk today and ask the Holy Spirit to help you follow Him this week.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I want to walk with You. Help me listen to You and do what makes Jesus happy. Amen.

Goodbye to Bad Wants

“Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” — Galatians 5:24 (NASB 1995)

Sometimes we want things that aren’t good for us—like being mean, selfish, or wanting more and more stuff.

But when we belong to Jesus, we say “goodbye” to those bad wants! The Holy Spirit helps us want good things instead.

Try This:
Make a “Goodbye List” of things you want to stop doing. Ask the Holy Spirit for help!

Prayer:
Jesus, I want to belong to You. Help me say goodbye to wrong things and choose what’s right. Amen.

God Grows Good Fruit in Me!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” — Galatians 5:22–23 (NASB 1995)

Just like fruit grows on a tree, the Holy Spirit grows good things in your heart—like love, joy, peace, and kindness!

When you listen to Him and stay close to Jesus, those good things show up more and more!

Try This:
Draw a big tree and label each fruit with one of the Spirit’s gifts!

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me grow Your fruit—kindness, joy, love, and more! Thank You for living in me. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 78

God Helps Me Choose What’s Good

“Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these…” — Galatians 5:19–21 (NASB 1995)

Sometimes we want to do things that hurt others—or ourselves. That’s called sin. But Jesus wants us to live in a better way.

The Holy Spirit helps you choose kindness, love, and truth.

Try This:
Make a “Good Choices” list with your parent. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you live it out.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for giving me the Holy Spirit to help me do what’s right. Help me say no to sin. Amen.

Follow the Leader!

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.” — Galatians 5:18 (NASB 1995)

Did you know the Holy Spirit wants to lead you every day—just like playing “Follow the Leader”?

When you follow Him, you don’t have to worry about all the rules. He helps you know what’s right and gives you the power to do it!

Try This:
Play “Follow the Leader” and talk about how we follow God’s Spirit every day.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me follow You. Teach me how to do what makes You smile. Amen.

Two Voices, One Choice

“For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.” — Galatians 5:17 (NASB 1995)

Have you ever wanted to do something wrong—even when you knew it wasn’t right? That’s the flesh talking.

But the Holy Spirit gives you a better choice. He speaks to your heart and helps you do what makes God happy.

Try This:

Draw two arrows—one going up (the Spirit’s way) and one down (the wrong way). Choose the one that leads to Jesus!

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, help me listen to You and say “no” to things that aren’t good. I want to follow You. Amen.
