The Spirit Helps Me Do What’s Right

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.”  — Galatians 5:16 (NASB 1995)

Have you ever wanted to do something you knew was wrong? That’s what the Bible calls our “flesh.”

But God gave us the Holy Spirit to help us say “no” to wrong things and “yes” to what’s right.

Walking by the Spirit means letting Him lead our hearts every day.

Try This:
When you feel upset or tempted, pause and whisper, “Holy Spirit, help me choose what’s right.”

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me to walk with You every day and make good choices that make Jesus happy. Amen.

I Can Follow God’s Spirit

“For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”  — Romans 8:14 (NASB 1995)

God gave His Spirit to help us live the way He wants. That means when I don’t know what to do, I can stop and ask Him!

The Holy Spirit never leads us to be mean or lie or quit doing what’s right. He helps us follow Jesus.

Try This:
Next time you’re not sure what to say or do, whisper a quick prayer: “Holy Spirit, please help me.”

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me to follow You every day. Teach me to listen and obey. Amen.

The Spirit Gives Me Power to Tell Others

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses…”  — Acts 1:8 (NASB 1995)

Jesus told His friends they would get special power from the Holy Spirit. Not superpowers like in movies—but something even better!

He gives us boldness to tell people about Jesus.

You can be a witness by being kind, telling the truth, and talking about what Jesus means to you.

Try This:
Draw a picture of yourself helping someone or telling them about Jesus.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me tell others about Jesus. Give me courage to be kind and brave. Amen.

The Spirit Shows Me What’s True

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth…”  — John 16:13 (NASB 1995)

Sometimes it’s hard to tell what’s true, especially when people say different things. But Jesus gave us someone special to help—the Holy Spirit!

He is called the Spirit of truth, and that means He will never lie to us. He helps us understand God’s Word, and teaches us what is right.

Try This:
Ask your mom or dad to read a Bible verse with you today. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand it.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me know what’s true. Please teach me Your ways and help me love the truth. Amen.

Living and Walking with God

“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.” — Galatians 5:25 (NASB 1995)

When you believe in Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to live in your heart. That’s what it means to be alive in Him!

But did you know He also wants to walk with you every day?

He helps you love others, be patient, tell the truth, and say no to things that are wrong.

Try This:
Think of one kind thing you can do today, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you do it with love.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for living in me. Help me walk with You and follow You every day. Amen.

God’s Spirit Helps Me Make Good Choices

Sometimes we don’t know what to do. Should I share? Should I speak up? Should I say “I’m sorry”?

The Bible says when we belong to Jesus, the Holy Spirit leads us. That means He helps us make good choices that please God.

You’re not alone—God is helping you walk the right way.

Try This:
When you have to make a decision today, whisper, “Holy Spirit, help me choose what is right.”

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for leading me. Please help me follow You and do what makes God happy. Amen.

God’s Spirit Helps Me Understand!

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God.” — 1 Corinthians 2:12 (NASB 1995)

Sometimes the world tells us things that sound right… but they aren’t what God says. That’s why God gave us His Spirit—to help us know the truth.

The Holy Spirit helps us understand what God has given us—like Jesus, forgiveness, love, and heaven!

When we believe in Jesus, we don’t have to guess anymore. We can ask the Spirit to show us what’s real and good.

Try This:
Ask your mom or dad to read a verse with you. Then ask, “Holy Spirit, help me understand!”Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for showing me what God has given. Help me understand what is true. Amen.

The Holy Spirit Helps Me Remember!

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” — John 14:26 (NASB 1995)

Have you ever forgotten something important—like where you put your toy or what your mom asked?

The Bible says the Holy Spirit helps us remember the words of Jesus! He teaches us and helps us understand God’s Word.

When you read the Bible or hear a story about Jesus, ask the Holy Spirit to help you remember it later.

Try This:
Choose a Bible verse and ask the Spirit to help you remember it today.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me understand the Bible. Please teach me and help me remember what Jesus said. Amen.

The Holy Spirit Helps Me Pray!

“In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” — Romans 8:26 (NASB 1995)

Have you ever not known what to say when you pray? That’s okay!

The Bible says the Holy Spirit helps us talk to God—even when we don’t know what to say. He prays for us in a special way only God understands.

You can talk to God anytime. The Spirit will help your heart speak, even without words.

Try This:
Close your eyes and sit quietly for a moment. Let your heart talk to God.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me pray. Even when I don’t know the words, You know my heart. Amen.

God Grows Good Fruit in You!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” — Galatians 5:22–23 (NASB 1995)

Have you ever seen a tree grow apples or oranges? It takes time and care!

God’s Spirit helps your heart grow fruit too—not fruit you eat, but things like kindness, patience, joy, and love.

You don’t have to try really hard—just stay close to Jesus, and the Holy Spirit will help you grow!

Try This:
Draw a fruit tree and label it with the fruit of the Spirit you want to grow!

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, please help me grow good things in my heart so I can love others like Jesus. Amen.
