🏡 Family Devotional — Day 206

Courage for the Whole Family

đź“– “Be strong and of good courage… for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
—Joshua 1:9 (NKJV)

Every family faces moments when courage is needed. Changes, challenges, uncertainty, or difficult situations can sometimes make people feel afraid or discouraged. Yet God reminds His people that they are never alone because His presence goes with them.

God told Joshua to be strong and courageous because He would remain with him wherever he went. Families today can hold onto that same promise. God is faithful in every season and every circumstance.

Courage does not mean pretending there is no fear. It means trusting God and continuing to follow Him even when situations feel uncertain. Families grow stronger when they learn to depend on God together instead of giving in to fear.

Parents can model courage by responding to difficulties with prayer, trust, and steady faith in God’s promises. Children learn courage when they see their family placing confidence in the Lord during hard times.

Families can strengthen one another through encouragement, prayer, and reminders of God’s faithfulness. These things help create peace and confidence within the home.

Knowing Christ as a family means trusting His presence every day. As each family member learns to rely on Him, the home becomes a place filled with courage, faith, and hope.

Prayer:
Jesus, help our family be strong and courageous in every season of life. When fear or discouragement arises, remind us that You are always with us. Teach us to trust You together and walk forward in faith and confidence each day. Amen.
