🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 202

Jesus Helps Me Have Self-Control

đź“– “He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.”
—Proverbs 16:32 (NKJV)

Self-control means learning to pause and make wise choices rather than reacting quickly with anger, frustration, or inappropriate behavior.

Sometimes emotions can feel very strong. You may feel upset, impatient, or tempted to do something wrong. But Jesus helps you pause, think, and choose what is right.

Having self-control helps bring peace and keeps you from hurting others with your words or actions. It also helps you obey God and make wise decisions.

Jesus gives you strength through the Holy Spirit to grow in self-control every day.

Prayer:
Jesus, help me have self-control in my words, actions, and attitudes. Teach me to pause and choose what is right even when emotions run high. Help me honor You with the choices I make each day. Amen.
