👧👦 Teen Devotional — Day 193

Sharing the Gospel with Courage

📖 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
—Mark 16:15 (NKJV)

Jesus gave this command to His followers after His resurrection, making the proclamation of the gospel central to every believer’s mission. The gospel is not merely information to keep privately—it is the message of salvation through Christ meant to be shared with the world.

As a teenager, sharing your faith can sometimes feel intimidating. You may worry about rejection, misunderstanding, or not knowing exactly what to say. In a culture where conversations about truth can quickly become uncomfortable, fear and hesitation can easily take hold.

Yet Jesus did not call believers to remain silent. The command to “go” reveals intentional action. Sharing the gospel involves both words and a life that reflects Christ. It means being willing to speak truth about who Jesus is, what He has done, and why people need Him.

The gospel itself is powerful because it points to the death and resurrection of Christ for the forgiveness of sins. You are not responsible for changing hearts—that work belongs to God. Your responsibility is to be faithful in sharing the truth.

Through the Holy Spirit, Christ gives courage and guidance. He helps you recognize opportunities to speak, gives wisdom in conversations, and strengthens you when fear arises. You do not share the gospel alone; God works through you as you trust Him.

Sharing the gospel also includes the way you live. Kindness, integrity, patience, and compassion all support the message you proclaim. A life shaped by Christ gives credibility to the truth you speak.

There will be moments when sharing your faith feels uncomfortable or risky. In those moments, remembering Christ’s love and the eternal importance of the gospel helps bring perspective. The message of salvation is too valuable to keep hidden.

Knowing Christ transforms evangelism from obligation into love-driven obedience.

Sharing the gospel is an act of faithfulness to the One who first shared His grace with you.

Prayer:
Jesus, give me courage to share the gospel with truth and love. Help me not to be controlled by fear or hesitation. Teach me to reflect Your character in my life and to speak faithfully about who You are and what You have done. Amen.
