🏡 Family Devotional — Day 192

A Home Filled with Kindness

📖 “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted…”
—Ephesians 4:32a (NKJV)

Kindness helps create a peaceful and loving home. God’s Word teaches families to treat one another with compassion, gentleness, and care. When kindness is practiced daily, it strengthens relationships and brings comfort to everyone in the home.

In family life, kindness can be shown in many simple ways—helping without being asked, listening carefully, speaking gently, encouraging one another, or showing patience during difficult moments. These small actions can make a big difference in how people feel and respond.

Paul also speaks about being “tenderhearted.” This means having a heart that cares deeply for others instead of becoming harsh or selfish. A tender heart notices when someone is hurting, tired, or discouraged and responds with love.

There will be times when kindness feels difficult, especially during stressful or frustrating moments. In those times, families can remember the kindness Christ continually shows to them. His example teaches how to respond with grace even when emotions are strong.

Parents can model kindness by showing patience, compassion, and gentleness in the way they speak and act. Children learn how to treat others by watching these daily examples within the home.

Knowing Christ as a family means allowing His kindness to shape every relationship. As kindness and compassion grow, the home becomes a place filled with peace, encouragement, and love.

Prayer:
Jesus, help our family be kind and tenderhearted toward one another. Teach us to speak gently, care deeply, and respond with love in every situation. Let Your kindness fill our home and strengthen our relationships each day. Amen.
