“He Will Tell You Things to Come”

📖 “…and He will tell you things to come.”
—John 16:13b (NKJV)

Jesus didn’t just promise His disciples that the Holy Spirit would remind them of the past—He promised that the Spirit would also reveal what was to come.

Not for the sake of curiosity, but for preparation.

The early Church relied on this very guidance:

• To understand coming persecution.
• To discern false teaching.
• To endure hardship with hope.

Today, the Holy Spirit still speaks through the Word of God—illuminating prophecy, sharpening discernment, and preparing our hearts for what lies ahead.

He reminds us that Jesus is returning, and every part of our lives should reflect that truth.

He stirs urgency for the lost.
He encourages readiness for trials.
He awakens our hearts to eternal priorities.

When your spirit feels stirred or unsettled, ask the Holy Spirit to anchor you in what is true and coming—according to God’s Word.

Holy Spirit, help me to walk in light of eternity. Reveal to me what matters most. Prepare me for the days to come, and help me lead others in truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“He Will Glorify Christ”

📖 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
—John 16:14 (NKJV)

The Holy Spirit doesn’t seek attention for Himself.
He isn’t interested in spiritual fame, emotional hype, or being showcased.
His ministry is deeply personal, but never self-promoting.

His mission is simple and powerful: to glorify Christ.

When the Holy Spirit speaks, He speaks of Jesus.
When He convicts, it’s to bring us closer to Jesus.
When He comforts, strengthens, and leads, it is always toward Jesus.

Sometimes we want bold signs or grand feelings to validate God’s presence.
But the Spirit’s clearest work is when our hearts are turned in love, reverence, and surrender to Christ.

Do you want to know if the Spirit is moving in your life?
Ask yourself:

• Is Jesus becoming more precious to me?
• Do I long to obey Him more deeply?
• Am I falling more in love with the Savior who died for me?
  

That is the Spirit’s work—and He does it well.

Holy Spirit, glorify Jesus in me today. Make my heart soft to hear You, and my life open to reflect the beauty and truth of Christ. May all that I do bring glory to Him alone. Amen.

“He Will Guide You”

📖 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth…”
—John 16:13a (NKJV)

So many voices fill our world—
social media, experts, family, friends, and even our own emotions.
But there is only one Voice that always tells the truth:
the Holy Spirit.

Jesus didn’t leave us with a map.
He gave us a Guide.

The Spirit of truth doesn’t just tell us what’s right—He walks with us as we learn to live it.
He doesn’t just reveal the Word—He helps us apply it to our daily decisions.

When we open the Bible, it’s the Holy Spirit who opens our understanding.
When we’re unsure which way to go, it’s the Holy Spirit who whispers, “This is the way, walk in it.”

His guidance is never random. It’s rooted in Scripture, aligned with God’s character, and meant for our good.

Sisters, we don’t need to figure it all out.
We need to follow the One who already knows.

“The Holy Spirit Convicts”

📖 “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:”
—John 16:8 (NKJV)

The work of the Holy Spirit is often misunderstood or overlooked, even among believers.
But Jesus makes it plain: when the Spirit comes, He will convict the world.

This word “convict” doesn’t mean to shame or crush—it means to expose what is true so it can be brought into the light.
The Holy Spirit points out sin, not to destroy us, but to lead us to repentance and restoration.

He also convicts us of righteousness—not our own, but the righteousness of Christ.
And He reminds us that judgment is real, and there is a day when all will give an account.

These three truths—sin, righteousness, judgment—are not popular in a world that avoids accountability.
But to the woman who wants to walk with God, the Spirit’s conviction is not a burden… it’s a gift.

It means He is with you.
It means you are not left to wander.
It means God is drawing you ever closer to Himself.

“To Your Advantage”

📖 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.”
—John 16:7 (NKJV)

Imagine hearing these words from Jesus: “It is to your advantage that I go away.”

How could losing Jesus possibly be good?

That’s likely what the disciples wondered.
But Jesus wasn’t abandoning them—He was making room for something greater:
The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

He would no longer walk beside them—
He would live within them.

This was not a downgrade.
This was the divine upgrade.

The Helper—the Holy Spirit—would guide them into truth, strengthen them in weakness, and fill them with the very presence of God.
That promise holds true for us today.

Dear sister, if you have placed your trust in Christ, He has not left you alone.
You have His very Spirit within you.

And no matter what you face, that truth is to your advantage.

“Sorrow Has Filled Your Heart”

📖 “But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.”
—John 16:6 (NKJV)

Sometimes sorrow comes not because of the world’s cruelty, but because of Christ’s honesty.

Jesus had just revealed painful truth: He was going away.
Not only that, but His disciples would be hated, cast out, and even killed for His Name.

No wonder sorrow filled their hearts.

But here’s the heart-piercing irony:
They were sorrowful about the very thing that would bring them hope.

His going wasn’t loss—it was the plan of redemption.
His departure meant the Spirit’s arrival.
His cross meant our cleansing.
His silence before Pilate meant our justification before God.

Dear sister, sorrow is not always a sign that something is wrong—
Sometimes it’s the sign that something greater is about to be revealed.

When Jesus leads us through sorrowful seasons, He is not being cruel.
He is being kind enough to prepare us.

Trust the Shepherd—even when the path is painful.
Because what feels like loss may be the very thing that opens the way to life.

“None of You Asks Me”

📖 “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’”
—John 16:5 (NKJV)

Have you ever been so overwhelmed by grief or fear that you couldn’t ask the question that really needed to be asked?

Jesus had just shared painful truth with His disciples—persecution, sorrow, rejection.
But instead of asking, “Where are You going?” (a question that could have brought comfort and clarity), they were weighed down with sorrow.

How often do we do the same?

We focus so much on the pain that we forget to turn our hearts toward Jesus’ greater plan.
We forget to ask Him what He’s doing.
Where He’s going.
How He’s still working.

The disciples saw Jesus’ departure as loss.
But it was the pathway to victory—the sending of the Spirit, the opening of the Gospel to the nations, and the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan.

Don’t let sorrow silence your seeking.
Ask Him.
Trust Him.
Let Him lift your eyes above the grief to the greater glory.

Jesus, I don’t want sorrow to blind me to what You’re doing. Teach me to seek You, to ask the questions that lead to truth, and to trust that Your plan is always better—even when I don’t understand. Amen.

Day 38 — “These Things I’ve Told You”

📖 “But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them…”
—John 16:4a (NKJV)

Jesus doesn’t just prepare us for a smooth path—
He prepares us for reality.
A reality where truth is opposed, where light exposes darkness, and where following Him means we will sometimes face rejection or hardship.

But He doesn’t leave us there.

He warns us ahead of time so that when the hard moments come, our faith won’t fall apart.
His words become anchors when the storm rolls in.

He said it would happen.
So when it does, we don’t panic.
We remember.

We remember His Word.
We remember His peace.
We remember that we are not alone.

Sister, don’t be discouraged if things feel hard right now.
You’re not failing—you’re following.
And He told you this would come so your heart would not be shaken.

“They Will Put You Out…”

📖 “They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.”
—John 16:2 (NKJV)

This verse doesn’t sit comfortably.

Jesus warned His disciples—and by extension, us—that the world wouldn’t always cheer for truth.
In fact, sometimes the fiercest rejection comes not from the irreligious, but from the deeply religious.

Those who cast out the faithful may even believe they’re honoring God.
But Jesus said it would happen.
He was not surprised.

So neither should we be.

Being rejected for righteousness, misunderstood for conviction, or slandered for your walk with Christ doesn’t mean you’ve failed—it might mean you’re on the narrow path.

The early believers knew this.
They were despised by society yet beloved by God.

Sister, if you feel the weight of rejection for your faith—take heart.
Jesus sees.
Jesus warned.
And Jesus walks with you through it all.

Lord, You were rejected by many—and yet You kept walking in obedience. Help me do the same. When I’m cast out or criticized for loving You, remind me that I am never outside of Your love. Strengthen my heart to stand. Amen.

“You Also Will Bear Witness”

📖 “And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.”
—John 15:27 (NKJV)

The Holy Spirit testifies of Christ.
But Jesus says you will, too.

It’s not just about the twelve disciples.
Every woman who has come to know Jesus—who has walked with Him, leaned on Him, wept before Him, rejoiced in Him—has a testimony.

Your story matters.
Not because you’re the center of it, but because He is.

You bear witness every time you respond to difficulty with peace instead of panic, truth instead of compromise, humility instead of pride.

You bear witness when you speak His Word, share His Gospel, and live in a way that points beyond yourself.

The world doesn’t need perfect women.
It needs Spirit-filled witnesses who boldly say:
“I have been with Jesus—and He changed everything.”
