There are a lot of opinions out there about Jesus.

Some say He was just a prophet.
Others call Him a moral teacher or a revolutionary.
Some twist Him into something soft, silent, and powerless.

But the Holy Spirit?
He testifies of the real Jesus.

The Spirit doesn’t work independently—He reveals the true nature of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Word.
Not the version culture wants, but the living, risen Son of God who is full of grace and truth.

When the Holy Spirit is leading you, He won’t point you to popularity, vibes, or trends.
He’ll point you to Jesus.

So if you’re ever unsure—ask:
“Is this the Jesus of Scripture?”
 Because the Spirit will always match the truth of God’s Word.

Think About It:

  • What are some “versions” of Jesus that you hear in culture or online?
  • How can you learn to recognize the Spirit’s voice by knowing the Bible better?

Prayer:
 Holy Spirit, I want to know the real Jesus—not a fake version. Speak truth to my heart. Lead me to Scripture. Help me follow the Jesus who loved me enough to die for me and who lives forever. Amen.

“The Spirit Testifies of Jesus”

The Holy Spirit has a powerful purpose:
He points us to the truth about Jesus.

In a world full of confusion, distorted messages, and competing voices, the Spirit testifies—not about us, not about religion, not about self-help—but about Jesus.

As mothers, it’s easy to feel pressure to get everything right in your home.
But here’s the good news:
The Spirit is already at work, revealing Jesus to your children’s hearts—often through your example, your prayers, and your faithful love.

You are not the Savior.
But you are a witness.
And the Spirit helps you point your children to Christ.

Let your home be a place where His name is spoken often, His Word is read regularly, and His truth is honored sincerely.

Discussion Questions:

  • How can we tell if the Holy Spirit is truly speaking to our hearts?
  • In what ways can we, as a family, invite the Spirit to help us know Jesus more?

Prayer:
 Holy Spirit, thank You for testifying of Jesus in our home. May Your voice be the loudest in our hearts. Help me guide my children with wisdom and grace. Reveal more of Christ to each of us every day. Amen.

📖 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.”
 —John 15:26 (NKJV)

Jesus promised us a Helper—not just for comfort, but for clarity.

The Holy Spirit does more than guide our steps.
He testifies—He speaks clearly and powerfully about Jesus.

He’s not silent.
He reminds. He reveals. He confirms.

And in the noise of this world, with its many “Jesuses” created in people’s own image, we desperately need the real One revealed by the Spirit of Truth.

That’s why we pray for discernment.
That’s why we stay rooted in Scripture.
That’s why we listen with yielded hearts—so when He speaks, we recognize His voice.

If you’re unsure about something—or someone—ask this:
“Does this match what the Spirit has testified about Jesus in His Word?”

Because the Spirit will never contradict the Son.
And the Son never misrepresents the Father.

Reflection Questions:

  • When has the Holy Spirit made the truth of Jesus come alive to you?
  • In what areas do you need the Spirit to remind you of who Jesus truly is?

Prayer:
 Holy Spirit, thank You for testifying of Jesus. In a world filled with confusion and deception, help me hear Your voice clearly and cling to the truth of who He is. Anchor me in Your Word, and grow my discernment daily. Amen.

Jesus gave us someone special:
The Holy Spirit—our Helper.

The Holy Spirit helps us understand who Jesus is.
He doesn’t make stuff up. He doesn’t lie.
He always tells the truth about Jesus!

That means when you’re reading the Bible, or singing worship songs, or listening in church—the Holy Spirit can help your heart say:
“Yes! Jesus is really that good!”

And when you forget how much Jesus loves you?
The Holy Spirit is there to remind you again.

Think About It:

  • Have you ever felt like something was true about Jesus deep in your heart? That’s the Holy Spirit helping you believe!
  • Can you ask Him to help you understand more about Jesus?

Prayer:
 Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me know who Jesus is. Please keep reminding me how good, kind, and powerful He is. Help me follow Him every day. Amen.

“None of This Took Him by Surprise”

 —John 16:4b (NKJV)Sometimes the Lord doesn’t tell us everything at once.

Jesus said He didn’t tell the disciples about the coming opposition earlier because He was with them. His presence sustained them in those early moments. They didn’t need all the details yet—they just needed Him.

As we grow in Christ, He often reveals things layer by layer.
Hard truths. Difficult seasons. Unexpected battles.

And yet, He never leaves us unprepared.
He speaks what we need, when we need it.

Are you in a season where God is revealing something new or difficult?

Remember this: He didn’t forget to warn you.
He waited until the moment when you were ready to receive it.
And just like before—He is still with you.

Reflection Questions:

  • Have you ever looked back and realized God was preparing you for something you didn’t see coming?
  • What truth is He reminding you of today that gives you strength?

Prayer:
 Jesus, thank You for never overwhelming me with more than I can carry. I trust that what You reveal is for my good and Your glory. Help me remember that You are always present, always faithful, and always preparing me. Amen.

Have you ever had someone explain something to you after you were ready to hear it?

Jesus did that, too!

He didn’t tell His disciples everything all at once.
Why? Because He was right there with them, helping them day by day.
When the time was right, He told them more—because He knew they were ready.

Jesus knows when you’re ready, too.

He teaches you little by little, so you won’t feel too overwhelmed.
You can trust Him—He’s the best Teacher of all.

  • What’s something Jesus has helped you understand recently?
  • How does it feel knowing He gives you what you need at just the right time?

Prayer:
 Jesus, thank You for helping me grow one step at a time. You know what I need and when I need it. Help me listen to You every day. Amen.

“He Didn’t Tell You Everything—Yet”

📖 “And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.”
 —John 16:4b (NKJV)

Jesus didn’t drop all the heavy truth on His disciples right away.

Why?
Because at first, He was with them, walking closely, guiding them step by step.
They didn’t need to know everything at once—they just needed to stay close to Him.

It’s the same for you.

There are things about your future, your calling, and even your struggles that God hasn’t shown you yet—not because He’s hiding them, but because you’re not meant to carry them alone.

As you grow, He’ll give you what you need—when you need it.

That’s not a delay.
It’s love.

Think About It:

  • Are you waiting on God to show you something about your life or calling?
  • How can you trust Him today with the things He hasn’t revealed yet?

Prayer:
 God, sometimes I want answers now. But I trust that You know what I’m ready for. Help me stay close to You and trust Your timing. Teach me what I need to know—when I need to know it. Amen.

“He Spoke When They Were Ready”

📖 “And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.”
 —John 16:4b (NKJV)

Jesus didn’t overwhelm His disciples with too much truth too soon.
Instead, He walked with them. He lived among them. He taught them gradually.

Only when the time was right—when their faith had grown—did He speak of the deeper things.
He told them the truth because they were finally ready to hear it.

As mothers, we sometimes wish we could explain everything to our children at once—warn them of the dangers, teach them every lesson, shield them from every fall.

But Jesus shows us a better way:
Walk with them. Be present. Teach slowly. Speak truth when they’re ready.

Truth sticks best when it comes through relationship.
Let them grow. Let them ask. Let them wrestle. And keep pointing them back to Jesus—who leads them gently, just as He leads you.

  • Have you ever realized later that your child was finally ready to learn something deeper?
  • How does Jesus’ example help you in the way you guide your children?

Prayer:
 Lord, help me walk with my children the way You walk with me—patiently, wisely, and with grace. Teach me when to speak and when to wait. Let my presence be a steady reflection of Yours. Amen.

Day 33 — “I Have Told You These Things”

📖 “But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them.”
 —John 16:4a (NKJV)

Jesus never promised a smooth path, but He always promised the truth.

In John 16, He tells the disciples in advance about the hardship they’ll face. Why?

Because when it happens, they’ll remember—He told them.

It’s a gift to be warned. It prepares us to endure. It helps us trust.

As a woman walking with Christ, you may face seasons where faithfulness brings rejection, loss, or confusion.
But Jesus has already spoken to that.

He has told you these things so that when the time comes, you’ll stand—not in fear or surprise, but with quiet confidence that none of this is taking Him by surprise.

He is with you.
And He is never unprepared.

Reflection Questions:

  • What trials are you walking through right now that Jesus has already prepared you for in His Word?
  • How does remembering His words help you stay grounded?

Prayer:
 Jesus, thank You for telling me the truth—even the hard parts. Remind me, when trouble comes, that You saw it all ahead of time. Strengthen my heart to stand firm and to trust Your voice above all others. Amen.

📖 “But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them.”
 —John 16:4a (NKJV)

Have you ever been surprised by something hard?

Maybe a friend said something unkind.
Maybe a plan didn’t work out.
Maybe someone didn’t believe you when you were telling the truth.

Jesus told His friends that hard times would come—but He didn’t tell them to scare them.

He told them so they wouldn’t be shocked.

He wanted them to remember:
“I already knew this was coming—and I’m still with you.”

That’s the kind of friend Jesus is.

Think About It:

  • What’s something hard you’ve gone through lately?
  • How does it help knowing Jesus isn’t surprised by anything?

Prayer:
 Jesus, thank You for telling the truth, even when it’s hard. I’m glad You already know everything that will happen. Help me trust You when things don’t go my way. Amen.
