God Can Use Everything for Good

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”— Romans 8:28 (NASB 1995)

Sometimes bad things happen that we don’t understand. But God promises something amazing: He can use everything—even hard stuff—for good!

The Holy Spirit helps us believe this when we’re sad or scared. He’s always with us, reminding us that God loves us and has a good plan.

Try This:
Think of a time something didn’t go your way—but later, something good came from it. Thank God for using it!

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You that You’re always with me. Help me remember that God can use everything—even the hard things—for good. Amen.

God Helps You Pray

“In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” — Romans 8:26–27 (NASB 1995)

Sometimes it’s hard to know what to say when we pray. But guess what? God understands even when we don’t use words!

The Holy Spirit helps us talk to God—even when we’re sad, scared, or don’t know what to say. He knows what’s in our hearts and helps us pray just right.

Try This:
Close your eyes and sit quietly with God. Let your heart talk to Him, even if you don’t say anything out loud.Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me pray. You know my heart, and You always talk to God for me. Amen.

Waiting With Hope

“For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.” — Romans 8:24–25 (NASB 1995) 

Have you ever waited for a birthday or a trip and felt super excited—even though you couldn’t see it yet? That’s kind of like the hope we have in Jesus!

Even when we can’t see Heaven or Jesus coming back, we believe it’s real. And the Holy Spirit helps us keep hoping and waiting with joy.

Try This:
Make a “Hope Jar.” Write down something you’re excited for that God promises. Put it in the jar and pray about it.Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me wait with hope. Even when I can’t see it yet, I know Your promises are true. Amen.

When You Feel Sad or Tired

“For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.” —Romans 8:22–23 (NASB 1995)

Sometimes, we get sad or tired—and we’re not even sure why. That’s because deep inside, we know this world isn’t how it’s supposed to be. But guess what? God is going to fix it!

The Holy Spirit inside us helps us wait for Jesus to come back. He helps us keep going when it’s hard—and reminds us that one day, we’ll be with Jesus forever.

Try This:

When you feel sad, tell the Holy Spirit about it. Ask Him to help you feel His comfort.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You that You’re with me when I feel sad or tired. Help me remember that Jesus is coming back and everything will be made new! Amen.

Even Nature is Waiting

“The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.” — Romans 8:16

Have you ever seen a flower bloom or a puppy play? Nature is beautiful—but it’s also waiting for something even better: for Jesus to come back and make everything right.

The Bible says the whole world is waiting for God’s children to shine bright with His glory. And guess what? You’re one of those children!

Try This:
Go outside and find something beautiful God made. Thank Him for it—and tell Him you’re excited for when He makes all things new.

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, thank You that I’m part of God’s family. Help me live in a way that shows Your goodness to the world. Amen.

Something Better Is Coming

Have you ever had a really hard day? Maybe you got hurt, or someone was mean. God knows it’s hard—but He also wants you to know something special: better days are coming.

The Bible says our hard times now are tiny compared to the forever-happy days God has planned for His children. The Holy Spirit helps us keep going and reminds us that God is with us.

Try This:
Draw a picture of what you think heaven might look like. Talk to Jesus about it.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me when life is hard. Please remind me that something better is coming! Amen.

God’s Special Family

Because we belong to God, we’re part of His special family. That means we’ll one day be with Jesus forever and receive wonderful things from Him!

Sometimes we have hard days—but Jesus had hard days too. And when we go through tough times, the Holy Spirit helps us remember: we are part of His family, and He has a big reward waiting.

Try This:
Draw a treasure chest and write inside it: “I’m a child of God!”

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, thank You that I get to be in God’s family. Help me remember that even hard days are part of following Jesus. Amen.

God’s Spirit Tells Me I Belong

Do you ever feel unsure about whether God really loves you? The Holy Spirit is like a helper who reminds you: Yes, you are God’s child!

He talks to your heart and says, “You belong to God!”

Try This:
Write your name on a heart and say out loud, “I am God’s child!”

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me remember that I’m God’s kid. Help me never forget that I belong to Him. Amen.

You’re God’s Child Now

“For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, ‘Abba! Father!’” — Romans 8:15 (NASB1995)

When you get scared, do you run to your mom or dad? God wants you to know that He is your Father too! He loves you and wants you to come to Him.

You don’t have to be afraid anymore. You can say, “Abba, Father!” That means, “Daddy, I need You!”

Try This:
Next time you feel afraid, whisper “Abba, Father” and ask Him to help you.

Prayer:
Abba, I’m so glad You made me Your child. Help me remember I don’t need to be scared—you’re always with me! Amen.

Following the Holy Spirit

Have you ever played “Follow the Leader”? The Holy Spirit is our leader—and when we follow Him, we’re living like true children of God!

He leads us to love, to help, to obey, and to walk like Jesus.

Try This:
Next time you’re unsure what to do, stop and ask, “Holy Spirit, what would You want me to do?”

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I want to follow You. Help me be a child who listens to You every day. Amen.
