🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 36

“Tell Others About Jesus”

📖 “And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.”
—John 15:27 (NKJV)

Jesus told His friends something exciting:
“You will tell people about Me!”

And guess what?
That’s something you can do too!

You don’t have to be a grown-up to talk about Jesus.
You can tell a friend, a brother, or a neighbor that Jesus loves them.
You can show His kindness by how you act and how you speak.

Even a smile, a hug, or a prayer can be a way to say,
“Jesus is real, and He’s good!”

Think About It:

  • Can you think of one person who needs to hear about Jesus?
  • What’s one way you can show Jesus to someone this week?

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for letting me tell others about You. Help me be brave and kind. Let my words and my heart show people that You are full of love and truth. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 35

“The Helper Talks About Jesus”

📖 “But when the Helper comes… He will testify of Me.”
—John 15:26 (NKJV)

Jesus gave us someone special:
The Holy Spirit—our Helper.

The Holy Spirit helps us understand who Jesus is.
He doesn’t make stuff up. He doesn’t lie.
He always tells the truth about Jesus!

That means when you’re reading the Bible, or singing worship songs, or listening in church—the Holy Spirit can help your heart say:
“Yes! Jesus is really that good!”

And when you forget how much Jesus loves you?
The Holy Spirit is there to remind you again.

Think About It:

  • Have you ever felt like something was true about Jesus deep in your heart? That’s the Holy Spirit helping you believe!
  • Can you ask Him to help you understand more about Jesus?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me know who Jesus is. Please keep reminding me how good, kind, and powerful He is. Help me follow Him every day. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 34

“Jesus Knows When to Tell You”

📖 “And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.”
—John 16:4b (NKJV)

Have you ever had someone explain something to you after you were ready to hear it?

Jesus did that, too!

He didn’t tell His disciples everything all at once.
Why? Because He was right there with them, helping them day by day.
When the time was right, He told them more—because He knew they were ready.

Jesus knows when you’re ready, too.

He teaches you little by little, so you won’t feel too overwhelmed.
You can trust Him—He’s the best Teacher of all.

Think About It:

  • What’s something Jesus has helped you understand recently?
  • How does it feel knowing He gives you what you need at just the right time?

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for helping me grow one step at a time. You know what I need and when I need it. Help me listen to You every day. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 33

“Jesus Knew Ahead of Time”

📖 “But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them.”
—John 16:4a (NKJV)

Have you ever been surprised by something hard?

Maybe a friend said something unkind.
Maybe a plan didn’t work out.
Maybe someone didn’t believe you when you were telling the truth.

Jesus told His friends that hard times would come—but He didn’t tell them to scare them.

He told them so they wouldn’t be shocked.

He wanted them to remember:
“I already knew this was coming—and I’m still with you.”

That’s the kind of friend Jesus is.

Think About It:

  • What’s something hard you’ve gone through lately?
  • How does it help knowing Jesus isn’t surprised by anything?

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for telling the truth, even when it’s hard. I’m glad You already know everything that will happen. Help me trust You when things don’t go my way. Amen.

“You Can Tell Others Too”

📖 “You also will bear witness, because you have been with Me.”
—John 15:27 (NKJV)

Do you know Jesus?
If you’ve learned about Him, believed in Him, and love Him, then guess what?

You can tell others about Him too!

That’s what Jesus meant when He said, “You also will bear witness.”
To bear witness means to tell the truth about what you know.

You don’t have to know everything or be a grown-up.
You just need to share what you’ve learned:

Jesus is kind.
He loves us.
He forgives our sins.
And He wants everyone to know Him!

When you talk about Jesus, you’re being just like His friends in the Bible.

Think About It:

  • Have you ever told someone about Jesus?
  • What’s one thing you know about Him that you could share?

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank You for helping me learn about You. Please help me share what I know so other people can know You too. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 30

“The Helper Who Tells Us About Jesus”

📖 “When the Helper comes… He will testify of Me.”
—John 15:26 (NKJV)

Did you know that God gave us a Helper?

He’s called the Holy Spirit, and He lives in everyone who believes in Jesus.

The Holy Spirit helps us remember the things Jesus said.
He teaches us how to live like Jesus.
And most of all, He tells us the truth about Jesus—so we don’t forget who He is.

It’s kind of like having a flashlight in your heart that always shines on Jesus.

When we read the Bible, pray, or tell someone about Jesus, the Holy Spirit is there, helping us understand and share the truth.

Think About It:

  • Why do you think Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit?
  • How can you ask the Holy Spirit to help you this week?

Prayer:
Thank You, God, for sending the Holy Spirit. Help me listen when He teaches me about Jesus. I want to follow You with all my heart. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 29

“Jesus Was Hated—But He Still Loved”

📖 “They hated Me without a cause.”
—John 15:25b (NKJV)

Have you ever had someone not like you—and you didn’t even know why?

That can feel confusing and sad.

Jesus felt that too.

People hated Him, even though He never did anything wrong.
He told the truth. He healed the sick. He showed love.
Still, some people were angry with Him… just because He was different.

But do you know what Jesus did?

He kept loving them.

He didn’t fight back. He didn’t stop helping people.
He kept showing God’s love—even to the people who hated Him.

When people treat us badly for being like Jesus, we can remember:
Jesus understands… and He can help us do what’s right.

Think About It:

  • Why do you think some people didn’t like Jesus?
  • What can you do when someone is unkind to you?

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for loving people—even when they didn’t love You back. Help me love others like You do, even when it’s hard. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 28

“Jesus Went First”

📖 “If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you…”
—John 15:20a (NKJV)

Have you ever been laughed at for doing the right thing?

Maybe someone didn’t want to play with you because you talked about Jesus, or you wouldn’t join in doing something wrong.

That can feel really hard.

But guess what? Jesus went through it first.

People were mean to Him.
They didn’t believe Him.
They said things that weren’t true.

But He kept obeying God—because He loved His Father and He loved you.

And now, He wants to help you do the same.

Think About It:

  • Can you think of a time when doing the right thing felt hard?
  • What can you remember about Jesus when that happens again?

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for going first. You know what it feels like when people are mean or don’t understand. Help me be brave and keep doing what’s right, just like You did. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 27

“Jesus Chose You”

📖 “…I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”
—John 15:19 (NKJV)

Have you ever played a game where someone picked teams?

It feels so good to be chosen, right?

Well, Jesus says something even more special:
He chose YOU—to be part of His Kingdom.

That means you belong to Him, not the world.
And sometimes, the world won’t like the way you live for Jesus.

But that’s okay.

Because being chosen by Jesus means:

  • You are loved
  • You are never alone
  • You have a forever family in God’s people

So when you feel different for doing what’s right, remember—you’re walking with the One who picked you on His team.

Think About It:

  • What does it mean to belong to Jesus?
  • How can you live like someone who was chosen by Him?

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for choosing me to be Yours. Help me live in a way that shows I belong to You, even when it’s hard. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 26

“Jesus Was Hated Too”

📖 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.”
—John 15:18 (NKJV)

Have you ever felt left out for doing the right thing?

Maybe you didn’t laugh at a mean joke.
Or you didn’t lie when everyone else did.
And people made fun of you or left you out.

Jesus understands.

He tells us that when people don’t like us for following Him, it’s because they didn’t like Him first.

But Jesus never stopped doing what was right.
He kept loving. He kept speaking truth.
And now, He promises to help you do the same.

Think About It:

  • Has someone treated you badly because you follow Jesus?
  • What would Jesus want you to do in that moment?

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for being with me when I feel left out or picked on. Help me stay strong and kind, even when others don’t understand. Amen.
