🧒 Kingdom Kids Devotional — Day 11

“Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Matthew 5:12 NASB1995

🎉 When It’s Hard, Smile Anyway

Jesus says that when people are mean to us because we love Him, we can still be happy! Why? Because our reward is coming—and it’s way better than anything this world can give.

You are not the first person to be hurt for doing what’s right. God’s people have always faced hard things. But He never leaves them—and He promises a BIG reward in heaven!

🏛 Long Ago…

Children in the early church were taught to rejoice when others were unkind because they followed Jesus. They knew this life was short and heaven was forever.

💡 Think About It:

  • What helps you stay joyful when someone is unkind?
  • Can you thank God even when it’s hard?

🙏 Let’s Pray:

Jesus, help me to rejoice when things are hard. Remind me that You are with me and that my reward is in heaven. Thank You for loving me. Amen.

🧒 Kingdom Kids Devotional — Day 10

“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.”

Matthew 5:11 NASB1995

🗯 When People Say Mean Things

Sometimes people say things that aren’t true or try to make fun of you because you love Jesus. That can hurt—but Jesus says you are blessed when that happens!

He knows what it’s like to be picked on and lied about. He promises to be close to you when you stand up for what’s right.

🏛 Long Ago…

In the early church, even children were teased or accused of things that weren’t true just because they believed in Jesus. But they kept loving God—and He gave them strength and joy!

💡 Think About It:

  • Has anyone said something untrue about you before?
  • How can you keep doing what’s right even when it’s hard?

🙏 Let’s Pray:

Jesus, help me be strong when others say mean or false things. Help me remember that You love me and are always with me. Amen.

🧒 Kingdom Kids Devotional — Day 9

“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 5:10 NASB1995

🛡 Standing Strong for What’s Right

Sometimes doing the right thing isn’t easy. People might laugh at you, leave you out, or make fun of you for loving Jesus. But Jesus says when this happens, you are blessed! That means He sees you, He is proud of you, and you are part of His Kingdom.

God gives you strength to be kind when others are not and to speak truth with love even when it’s hard.

🏛 Long Ago…

Early Christian children were sometimes teased or hurt because they followed Jesus. But they stayed strong and kept loving others—just like Jesus said.

💡 Think About It:

  • Has anyone ever made fun of you for doing what’s right?
  • How can you keep following Jesus even when it’s hard?

🙏 Let’s Pray:

Jesus, help me be strong when doing right is hard. Help me keep loving You and others, even when people don’t understand. Thank You that Your Kingdom belongs to those who follow You. Amen.

🤖 Kingdom Kids Devotional — Day 8

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”

Matthew 5:9 NASB1995

💖 Helpers of Peace

Being a peacemaker means helping others get along, saying sorry first, and choosing kindness even when you feel mad. It means not starting drama or taking sides. Instead, you bring peace, like Jesus does.

When you make peace, you show people what God is like. He loves when we help others forgive and be friends again. That makes you shine like His child!

🏠 Long Ago…

In the early church, kids learned to be peacemakers in their homes and among friends. They followed Jesus by showing love and kindness, even when others didn’t.

💡 Think About It:

  • Do I help people get along or do I make things worse?
  • Who can I show peace to this week?

🙏 Let’s Pray:

Jesus, help me be someone who brings peace. Help me forgive and help others forgive too. I want to show others what You’re like. Amen.

🧒 Kingdom Kids Devotional — Day 7

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

Matthew 5:8 NASB1995

💖 A Clean Heart Sees God

Being pure in heart means loving God with everything inside of you. It means choosing what’s right, telling the truth, and thinking about good things. When our hearts are clean, we can see God more clearly in His Word, His love, and His creation.

Jesus wants our hearts to be full of light, not darkness. And when we follow Him with honest and loving hearts, He promises that we will see Him—not just someday, but in the ways He works around us every day.

🏛 Long Ago…

In the early church, children were taught to guard their hearts from wrong things and love what is good. They wanted to live in ways that made God smile.

💡 Think About It:

  • What does it mean to have a clean heart?
  • Are there things in your heart you need to talk to God about?

🙏 Let’s Pray:

Jesus, I want my heart to be clean and full of love for You. Help me choose what is right and pure. I want to see You more every day. Amen.

🧒 Kingdom Kids Devotional — Day 6

“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.”

Matthew 5:7 NASB1995

👐 Mercy Means Showing Kindness

Mercy is when we are kind—even when someone doesn’t deserve it. It means forgiving someone who hurt us, helping a friend who’s struggling, or not getting even when someone’s mean.

Jesus loves it when we show mercy—because that’s what He does! And when we give mercy, He promises we’ll receive it too.

🏛 A Long Time Ago…

Children in the early church were taught to be merciful, even when others were cruel or unfair. They learned to forgive quickly and love deeply, just like Jesus.

💡 Think About It:

  • Who do you need to forgive right now?
  • How can you show kindness to someone today?

🙏 Let’s Pray:

Jesus, thank You for being so kind to me. Help me to be merciful, even when it’s hard. I want to love like You do. Amen.

👑 Kingdom Kids Devotional — Day 5

Day 5

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”

Matthew 5:6

🥪 Hungry for the Right Things

Have you ever been so hungry you couldn’t wait to eat? Jesus says we should feel that way about righteousness! That means we should really want to do what’s right and love what God loves—just like we want our favorite snack.

When we want God’s ways more than anything else, He promises to fill us up. Not with food, but with joy and peace and His Spirit!

🏠 What About Long Ago?

Long ago, children in the early church gave up little things they wanted to help others—because they wanted to follow Jesus more than anything. Their hearts were full because they were filled with God’s love and truth.

💡 Think About It:

  • What do you want more than anything right now?
  • How can we want God’s ways more than our own?

👑 Kingdom Kids Devotional — Day 4

Day 4

“Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.”— Matthew 5:5

🐑 Strong and Gentle
Being gentle doesn’t mean being weak. Jesus was gentle—and He’s the strongest person ever! When you’re gentle, you’re kind and patient, even when it’s hard. You’re like a superhero who knows when not to fight.

God loves when we are gentle with our words, our hands, and our hearts. He says that kids who live this way will be part of His Kingdom forever!

🏠 What About Long Ago?
The first Christian kids learned to be gentle in hard times. Sometimes they were teased or even hurt for loving Jesus—but they didn’t fight back. They showed the love of Christ with their actions, and many people came to believe in Jesus because of their quiet courage.

💡 Think About It:
When is it hard to be gentle?

Can you think of a time when you chose kindness over being mean?

🙏 Let’s Pray:
Jesus, help me to be strong and gentle, like You. I want to use my words and actions to show Your love to others. Teach me to trust You instead of always trying to get my way. Amen.

👑 Kingdom Kids Devotional — Day 3

Day 3 — “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”Matthew 5:4

😢 Tears that Jesus Sees

Have you ever cried when you did something wrong? Or felt really sorry when someone got hurt because of what you did? That’s a little like what Jesus is talking about.

When we mourn, we are sorry for sin—not just because we got caught, but because we know it hurts God and others. Jesus says that when we come to Him with those kinds of tears, He comforts us. He doesn’t push us away—He hugs us close.

🏠 What About Long Ago?

Early Christian children learned to follow Jesus with soft hearts. They saw their families cry over sin and pray with deep love for others. Even when times were hard, they knew Jesus was their comfort and strength.

💡 Think About It:

  • Can you think of something you’ve done that made you feel sad inside?
  • Did you tell Jesus about it?

🙏 Let’s Pray:

Jesus, I’m sorry for the things I’ve done wrong. Thank You for loving me and always forgiving me. Help me have a soft heart like Yours. Amen.

👑 Kingdom Kids Devotional — Day 2

Day 2

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 5:3

🎒Empty Pockets, Full Heart

Imagine you wanted to get into a big, beautiful castle. The king opens the door and says, “Only those with empty hands can come in.” That might sound strange—but it’s what Jesus meant when He said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit.”

Being poor in spirit means knowing we need God. We don’t come to Him saying, “Look at how good I am!” We come saying, “Jesus, I need You. I can’t do this on my own.” And when we come like that—He welcomes us into His Kingdom!

🏠 What About Long Ago?

Long ago, many kids just like you followed Jesus. They knew they didn’t need to be perfect or rich or popular. They needed Jesus. And that was enough.

💡 Think About It:

  • What does it mean to need Jesus?
  • Can you think of a time when you asked Him for help?

🙏 Let’s Pray:

Jesus, I know I need You every day. Help me to come to You with a humble heart and empty hands. I want to live in Your Kingdom! Amen.
