🧒Walk by the Spirit — Day 9

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.”
Galatians 5:16, NASB1995

Walking with God

Imagine you’re walking next to your best friend. You talk, listen, and go the same way together.

That’s what it means to “walk by the Spirit.”
God’s Spirit wants to walk with you every day—at school, at home, and when you play.

And guess what? When you walk with Him, you won’t want to do wrong things. You’ll want to do what makes Him smile.

Try This:
When you take a walk today, pretend Jesus is walking with you. Talk to Him!

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me stay close to You and choose good things today. Amen.

“For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.”
Romans 8:6, NASB1995

When we think about kind, true, and good things, it helps our heart feel peaceful!

The Holy Spirit helps you choose good thoughts. He whispers truth when lies try to sneak in.

Try This:
When you feel sad or angry, stop and ask, “Is this thought from God?”
Then ask the Holy Spirit to help you think like Jesus.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me think thoughts that make You happy. Thank You for giving me peace. Amen.

🧒 You Will Receive Power — Day 7

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses…”

God Gives You Power

When Jesus went back to heaven, He didn’t leave His friends alone.
He sent the Holy Spirit to help them—and He helps you too!

🧒 Walk by the Spirit — Day 6

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.”
Galatians 5:16, NASB1995

Let’s Walk Together

Have you ever taken a walk with someone?
You stay close so you don’t get lost or left behind.

That’s how it is with the Holy Spirit.
When you stay close to Him, He helps you do what’s right. But if you run ahead or wander off, it’s easy to make mistakes.

Let’s walk with the Holy Spirit by talking to Him, reading the Bible, and listening with our hearts.

Try This:
Next time you go for a walk, imagine Jesus walking beside you through the Spirit. Talk to Him out loud!

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me stay close to You. Show me how to follow You and say no to sin. Amen.

🧒 Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit — Day 5

“Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”
Ephesians 4:30, NASB1995

Don’t Make the Spirit Sad

Did you know the Holy Spirit has feelings?
He lives in you if you love Jesus—and He feels sad when you do things that hurt others or disobey God.

But He also helps you do what’s right! When you choose to be kind, honest, and forgiving, it makes the Spirit happy.

Think of Him like a best friend who’s always with you—cheering you on to follow Jesus.

Try This:
Think of one thing you did recently that may have made the Holy Spirit sad. Say sorry and ask Him to help you next time!

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I don’t want to make You sad. Please help me choose what’s right and show love every day. Amen.

🧒 The Fruit of the Spirit — Day 4

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…”
Galatians 5:22–23, NASB1995

Fruit That Grows Inside

Have you ever seen a fruit tree?
It takes time for apples or oranges to grow. And guess what? God grows fruit in your heart too!

The Holy Spirit helps you be loving, kind, patient, and joyful—even when things are hard. You won’t be perfect every day, but He helps you grow!

You can ask Him to help you show “Jesus-fruit” wherever you go.

Try This:
Draw a fruit tree and write one word on each fruit (love, joy, peace…). Hang it where you’ll see it and pray: “Grow this in me!”

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me grow Your fruit inside. Teach me to love and be kind like Jesus. Amen.

🧒 You Will Receive Power — Day 3

Did you know that God’s Spirit gives you power too?
Not superhero power—but the kind that helps you love others, tell the truth, and share Jesus with your friends.

You Are Not Too Small

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses…”
Acts 1:8a, NASB1995

The Bible says the Holy Spirit helps us be brave and kind. You don’t have to be big or perfect—just willing.

Even kids can show others what Jesus is like!

Try This:
Think of one friend you can be kind to today—and ask the Holy Spirit to help you do it with love.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for being strong in me. Help me show Jesus to others in how I talk, play, and care. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 80

“When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.”
Matthew 7:28–29, NASB1995

Jesus Speaks Like a King
Have you ever heard someone speak and everyone listened quietly? That’s what happened when Jesus finished teaching. People were amazed! He didn’t just talk—He spoke like a King who knows what is right and good.

Everything Jesus said in this sermon helps us know how to live in God’s Kingdom. When we listen and obey, we show that we believe Him and love Him.

Question to Ponder:
What is one thing Jesus said that you want to obey today?

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for teaching me. Help me listen and follow You every day.

🧒 Kids Devotional — Day 79

“The rain came, and the wind blew, and the house fell down—because it was built on sand!”

Matthew 7:26–27 (Paraphrased)

🏖️ Sand or Rock?

Have you ever tried to build a sandcastle too close to the water? What happened?

Jesus said if we hear Him but don’t follow Him, we’re like someone building on sand. But if we do what He says, we’re building on solid rock.

🧠 Think About It:

  • What do you think Jesus wants you to do today?
  • What’s the difference between knowing and doing?

🙏 Let’s Pray:

Jesus, I want to follow You—not just listen. Help me obey You today. Amen.

🧒 Kids Devotional — Day 78

(Note: There was an error in sequencing the Kingdom Living Devotional Series, an adjustment has been made to add the the last three days of devotions. The Living in the Power of the Holy Spirit series will continue on 6/27)

“The rain came, the rivers rose, and the wind blew… but the house did not fall!”

Matthew 7:25 (Paraphrased)

☔ Standing Strong

Have you ever seen a house in a rainstorm? The rain hits hard, but a strong house stands tall.

Jesus says when we follow Him, we’re like a house on a strong rock. Even when life is tough, He helps us stay strong.

🧠 Think About It:

  • What’s a “storm” in your life right now?
  • How can obeying Jesus help you feel safe?

🙏 Let’s Pray:

Jesus, thank You for being my strong Rock. Help me trust You when things feel scary. Amen.
