😎 Teen Devotional — Day 47

“Ready for What’s Ahead”

📖 “…and He will tell you things to come.”
—John 16:13b (NKJV)

You don’t need to know the future to be ready for it.
You just need to know the One who does.

Jesus said the Holy Spirit would tell us “things to come.”
That doesn’t mean you’ll get every detail about your future—but it does mean the Holy Spirit will guide you, prepare your heart, and help you walk with confidence.

Sometimes, He gives you a burden to pray.
Other times, He makes Scripture come alive in ways that prepare you for what’s ahead.
His warnings are loving, not fearful. His guidance is wise, not confusing.

You don’t have to figure life out alone.
Just stay close to the Spirit—and He’ll keep you rooted in Christ, no matter what tomorrow holds.

Think About It:

  • Are you anxious about the future, or are you letting the Holy Spirit lead you through it?
  • What’s one area where you need His guidance right now?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I want to walk with You. Help me trust You with what’s coming and listen to Your voice today. Prepare my heart for whatever You have ahead. Amen.

“Preparing Our Family Hearts”

📖 “…and He will tell you things to come.”
—John 16:13b (NKJV)

The Holy Spirit is not silent. He is our Helper, our Guide, and the One who gently prepares us for what’s ahead—whether it’s a season of growth, challenge, or opportunity.

As mothers, we’re called to lead our homes with spiritual alertness. Not fear—but faith.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t create panic. He produces peace, wisdom, and readiness.

When we teach our children to listen for His leading, we prepare them to respond to God in every season of life.
And as we grow in our own sensitivity to His voice through the Word and prayer, we can guide them with confidence.

Let your home be a place where hearts are being prepared—not just for “what’s next,” but for who Jesus is and how to live for Him.

Family Talk:

  • What’s one way we can be spiritually prepared this week?
  • How can we know the Holy Spirit is leading us?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, prepare our hearts and help us walk as a family in trust, not fear. Give us ears to hear You and faith to follow. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“He Will Glorify Me”

📖 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
—John 16:14 (NKJV)

The Holy Spirit’s mission in our hearts and homes is simple—but powerful:
to glorify Jesus.

He helps us understand who Jesus really is—His love, His grace, His truth, His sacrifice, His power, and His return.
And as He shows us more of Christ, He changes how we live as a family.

  • Our conversations become more Christ-centered.
  • Our prayers become more honest and hope-filled.
  • Our love for one another becomes more like His.

In a world full of distractions, the Holy Spirit gently brings our focus back to Jesus—again and again.

Let’s make our homes a place where Christ is lifted high, not just in what we say, but how we live.

Family Talk:

  • How does the Holy Spirit help us understand Jesus better?
  • What are some ways we can glorify Jesus as a family this week?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for always pointing our hearts back to Jesus. Help us glorify Him in this home, in how we treat one another, and in how we live each day. In His name we pray, amen.

“Glorify Me”

📖 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
—John 16:14 (NKJV)

The Holy Spirit has one central mission—to glorify Jesus.
Every prompting, every comfort, every insight from the Word… all of it leads us back to Christ.

The Spirit doesn’t draw attention to Himself.
He directs our hearts toward the beauty, majesty, and holiness of the Son.

In a world where so much competes for our focus, the Spirit faithfully redirects us to Jesus:
His character, His suffering, His power, His love.

When you’re uncertain, He reminds you of Christ’s wisdom.
When you’re discouraged, He points to Christ’s victory.
When you’re tempted, He exalts Christ’s purity.

This is how we know His voice—it always magnifies the Lord.

Reflection Questions:

  • What has the Holy Spirit shown you lately about Jesus?
  • How can you glorify Christ more in your thoughts and actions today?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for always pointing me to Jesus. Teach me to see Him more clearly, love Him more deeply, and glorify Him in all I do. Amen.

“Look at Jesus!”

📖 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
—John 16:14 (NKJV)

Have you ever had someone show you something really special—like a bright star in the sky, a beautiful butterfly, or a newborn baby?

That’s what the Holy Spirit does with Jesus.

He shows us how amazing Jesus is!
He helps us see His love, kindness, power, and everything He did for us.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t want us to forget about Jesus.
He helps us remember how good He is and how much He loves us.

So when you read your Bible or sing to God, ask the Holy Spirit to help you see Jesus more clearly.

Think About It:

  • What do you love most about Jesus?
  • How do you think the Holy Spirit helps you learn more about Him?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me see how wonderful Jesus is. I want to know Him more and love Him with all my heart. Amen.

“Glory to Jesus”

📖 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
—John 16:14 (NKJV)

Everyone’s trying to glorify something.
Their image. Their success. Their favorite influencer or lifestyle.

But the Holy Spirit has one focus:
Jesus.

He doesn’t promote Himself.
He doesn’t hype spiritual experiences or feelings.
He simply and powerfully lifts up Jesus.

He takes the deep truths of Christ—His mercy, strength, humility, and holiness—and makes them real to you.
He makes Jesus not just someone you know about, but Someone you know.

When your life glorifies Jesus—your choices, your words, your attitude—you’re walking in step with the Spirit.

Let your life be a spotlight on your Savior.

Think About It:

  • In what ways can your life point others to Jesus instead of yourself?
  • How does the Holy Spirit help you reflect Christ?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I want my life to glorify Jesus. Show me who He really is. Shape me so that others see Him in me. Amen.

“A Home That Glorifies Jesus”

📖 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
—John 16:14 (NKJV)

The Holy Spirit’s role is to glorify Jesus—and that should be our family’s purpose too.
In a world where families are often pulled in a thousand directions, the Spirit gently but powerfully redirects us toward Christ.

He brings the words of Jesus to life in our homes:
Forgiveness during conflict.
Peace in the middle of chaos.
Joy in obedience.
Hope in trials.

As mothers, we are called to cultivate a home where Jesus is exalted—not just in name, but in lifestyle.
The Holy Spirit helps us by showing us how to model Christ, speak His words, and lead our children to honor Him.

Let your home be a living testimony—a place where Jesus is glorified, not just on Sundays, but in everyday moments.

Family Talk:

  • What does it mean to glorify Jesus in our home?
  • How can we show others that Jesus is the most important part of our family?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, make our home a place where Jesus is lifted high. Teach us how to glorify Him in our conversations, decisions, and love for one another. In His name, amen.

“He Will Tell You Things to Come”

📖 “…and He will tell you things to come.”
—John 16:13b (NKJV)

Jesus didn’t just promise His disciples that the Holy Spirit would remind them of the past—He promised that the Spirit would also reveal what was to come.

Not for the sake of curiosity, but for preparation.

The early Church relied on this very guidance:

  • To understand coming persecution.
  • To discern false teaching.
  • To endure hardship with hope.

Today, the Holy Spirit still speaks through the Word of God—illuminating prophecy, sharpening discernment, and preparing our hearts for what lies ahead.

He reminds us that Jesus is returning, and every part of our lives should reflect that truth.

He stirs urgency for the lost.
He encourages readiness for trials.
He awakens our hearts to eternal priorities.

When your spirit feels stirred or unsettled, ask the Holy Spirit to anchor you in what is true and coming—according to God’s Word.

Reflection Questions:

  • Are you living with the awareness that Jesus could return at any time?
  • How does that change how you spend your time, energy, and words?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help me to walk in light of eternity. Reveal to me what matters most. Prepare me for the days to come, and help me lead others in truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“The Holy Spirit Knows What’s Ahead”

📖 “…and He will tell you things to come.”
—John 16:13b (NKJV)

Have you ever been on a hike or a long walk and needed someone to lead the way?
The Holy Spirit is like that. He knows what’s ahead—and He helps guide us through life.

Jesus said the Holy Spirit would tell us things to come.
That means He helps us understand what the Bible says about the future.
He reminds us that Jesus is coming back one day and that we should be ready.

The Holy Spirit also helps us know how to make good choices—even when the world feels confusing.
He helps us listen to God’s voice, love others, and keep following Jesus no matter what.

You don’t have to be afraid of what’s ahead—because the Holy Spirit is with you, leading the way!

Think About It:

  • Are you listening when the Holy Spirit helps you make a choice?
  • What are you looking forward to when Jesus comes back?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for knowing what’s ahead. Help me trust You and follow Your lead every day. Help me get ready for when Jesus comes back. Amen.

“He Knows What’s Coming”

📖 “…and He will tell you things to come.”
—John 16:13b (NKJV)

Wouldn’t it be great to know what’s coming next?
The world tries to predict the future—through trends, science, politics, or even superstition.
But only God truly knows what lies ahead.

Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would “tell you things to come.”
That doesn’t mean we get secret codes or mysterious visions—it means the Spirit helps us understand what God has already revealed in His Word.

He gives discernment to recognize truth from lies.
He stirs our hearts to stay alert.
And He reminds us that Jesus’ return isn’t something to fear—but to hope for.

When everyone else is chasing the next trend or panicking about the future, you can walk in calm confidence.
Why?
Because the Holy Spirit already knows what’s coming—and He’s preparing you for it.

Think About It:

  • How does knowing Jesus is coming again change the way you live today?
  • What are some ways the Holy Spirit helps you stay ready and focused?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me understand what’s ahead. Keep my heart ready for Jesus’ return, and help me live each day with courage, truth, and hope. Amen.
