🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 60

“The Holy Spirit Gives Me Peace”

📖 “The fruit of the Spirit is… peace.”
—Galatians 5:22 (NKJV)

Sometimes your heart feels like a little storm— maybe because you’re worried, or something changed, or you don’t know what will happen next. But the Holy Spirit brings peace that calms the storm.

Peace doesn’t mean everything is perfect. It means you know God is with you, so you don’t have to be afraid.

The Holy Spirit reminds you that Jesus loves you.
He helps you breathe and rest when your thoughts feel too big.
He quiets your worries and fills your heart with calm.
He helps you trust God when you don’t understand something.

When the Holy Spirit gives you peace, it feels like a soft blanket around your heart—comforting, steady, and safe.

Talk About It:

  • What makes you feel worried or upset sometimes?
  • How can the Holy Spirit help you calm your heart?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You for giving me peace.
Help me trust You when I feel worried,
and fill my heart with Your calm every day.
Amen.

“The Holy Spirit Is Always With Me”

📖 “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
—Hebrews 13:5b (NKJV)

Sometimes you might feel alone—at school, at home, or even when you’re surrounded by other people. But if you belong to Jesus, you are never truly alone.

The Holy Spirit lives in you.
That means He is with you every moment, everywhere you go.

He’s with you when you’re happy.
He’s with you when you’re sad.
He’s with you when you’re scared or unsure.
He’s with you when you pray, when you play, and even when you sleep.

You don’t have to see Him to know He is there.
His presence comforts your heart and helps you remember that God loves you and watches over you.

No matter what happens, the Holy Spirit will never leave you.
He is your Helper, your Comforter, and your Friend.

Talk About It:

  • When do you feel most alone?
  • How does it help you to know that the Holy Spirit is always with you?

“The Holy Spirit Helps Me Grow Good Fruit”

📖 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…”
—Galatians 5:22 (NKJV)

Did you know that the Holy Spirit helps things grow inside your heart—just like a gardener helps plants grow? But instead of apples or oranges, He grows things like kindness, joy, patience, and love.

These are called the fruit of the Spirit.
They show that Jesus is working inside you.

You don’t grow this fruit by trying really hard.
You grow it by staying close to Jesus and listening to the Holy Spirit.

He helps you be kind when you want to be grumpy.
He helps you be gentle when you feel frustrated.
He helps you tell the truth even when it’s difficult.
He helps you forgive instead of getting even.

Every good thing that grows in your heart is because the Holy Spirit is helping you become more like Jesus.

Talk About It:

  • What fruit of the Spirit do you see growing in your life?
  • What fruit do you want the Holy Spirit to help you grow more?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You for helping good things grow in my heart. Please help me show love, kindness, patience, and joy like Jesus. Amen.

“The Holy Spirit Gives Me Courage”

📖 “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
—2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

Sometimes things feel scary—new places, new people, hard choices, or moments when we feel small. But God does not want fear to rule your heart. When you belong to Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives in you, and He gives you courage.

Courage doesn’t mean you never feel afraid.
Courage means trusting God even when you do feel afraid.

The Holy Spirit helps you remember God is with you.
He helps you be brave when you need to speak up.
He helps you do what is right, even if others don’t.
He helps you trust Jesus instead of your fears.

And when your heart starts to worry, the Holy Spirit brings peace—like a warm blanket around your thoughts—reminding you that God is bigger than anything you face.

Talk About It:

  • What’s something that sometimes scares you?
  • How do you think the Holy Spirit can help you be brave?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You for giving me courage.

“The Holy Spirit Helps Me Know What’s True”

📖 “When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth.” —John 16:13a (NKJV)

Sometimes people say things that sound right but aren’t true.
That’s why Jesus sent the Holy Spirit—to help us know what’s really true.

The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth because He teaches us what God says. He helps us understand the Bible, shows us when something is wrong, and helps us say no to sin.

When you’re confused or unsure, you can ask the Holy Spirit to help you. He is always with you and will gently guide you—just like a flashlight helps you see in the dark.

Talk About It:

What does it mean that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth?
Can you think of a time when God helped you understand something?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me understand what’s true. Please guide me when I feel unsure, and help me follow Jesus every day. Amen.

🐣 Children’s Devotional — Day 54

“The Holy Spirit Makes Jesus Known”

📖 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
—John 16:14 (NKJV)

Have you ever had someone share a secret with you—something special that made you feel trusted?

Jesus said the Holy Spirit does something even better.
He shares with us everything that belongs to Jesus!
The Holy Spirit tells us how amazing Jesus is so we can love Him more and follow Him better.

That’s what it means to “glorify” Jesus.
It means showing how good, kind, powerful, and holy He really is.
The Holy Spirit does this every time you read your Bible, pray, or obey God’s voice.
He helps your heart say, “Wow, Jesus is wonderful!”

Talk About It:

  • What is one thing you love about Jesus?
  • How can you show Jesus is important in your life today?

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me see how great Jesus is.
I want to know Him more and make Him happy with how I live.
Please help me love and obey Him.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 53

“The Holy Spirit Knows What’s Coming”

📖 “He will tell you things to come.”
—John 16:13b (NKJV)

Have you ever wished you knew what would happen tomorrow?

Jesus told His disciples that the Holy Spirit would help them know what was ahead—not so they could always know the future like a superhero, but so they would trust God and follow His lead.

When something big is coming—like moving to a new house, starting a new grade, or even facing something hard—God doesn’t leave us alone.
He gives us His Spirit to prepare our hearts and help us stay close to Him.

Even if we don’t know all the details, we can trust that the Holy Spirit knows.
And He is always right.

Think About It:

  • Have you ever felt something important in your heart and knew God was helping you get ready?
  • How can you practice listening for God’s voice today?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for knowing everything—even the things I don’t understand yet. Please help me trust You and follow You wherever You lead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“The Holy Spirit Leads Us the Right Way”

📖 “When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth.”
—John 16:13a (NKJV)

Have you ever followed a trail or used a map?

It helps you get to the right place without getting lost.

The Holy Spirit is like a guide for our hearts.

He helps us know what’s true and what is not.

When we read the Bible or talk to God,
The Holy Spirit helps us understand what God wants us to do.

He shows us how to make good choices,
how to be honest, kind, and brave for Jesus.

Think About It:

  • What are some things the Holy Spirit helps you understand about Jesus?
  • How can you follow His leading at school or at home?

“The Holy Spirit Shines a Light on Jesus”

📖 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
—John 16:14 (NKJV)

Have you ever used a flashlight in the dark?

When you shine it on something, everyone looks at what the light is pointing to.

That’s what the Holy Spirit does.
He is like a light shining on Jesus so we can see how good and amazing He is.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t point to Himself.
He helps us know Jesus, love Him more, and understand what He did for us.

When you learn something about Jesus from the Bible,
That’s the Holy Spirit helping you!

Think About It:

  • What is something special about Jesus that the Holy Spirit has shown you?
  • How can you tell others about Jesus today?

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, thank You for showing me who Jesus is. I want to know Him more and love Him with all my heart. Help me tell my friends about Him too. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 50

“The Holy Spirit Helps Us Know What’s True”

📖 “When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth.”
—John 16:13a (NKJV)

Have you ever been confused about something?
Maybe someone told you one thing, but someone else said the opposite.
It can be hard to know what’s really true.

But Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to help with that!

The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth.
He helps us understand God’s Word and tells our hearts what is right.

If something doesn’t sound like what Jesus would say or do—
The Holy Spirit helps us spot it.

He’s like a flashlight in the dark, showing us the right way to go!

Think About It:

  • What’s something true that the Holy Spirit has helped you learn about God?
  • How can you listen more carefully to Him this week?

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me know what’s true. Teach me to listen to You when I read the Bible and when I pray. I want to follow Jesus every day. Amen.
