🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 8

“When I Don’t Know What to Pray”

📖 “…the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us…”
—Romans 8:26b (NKJV)

Have you ever been so sad or confused that you didn’t know what to say to God? Maybe you just sat quietly, or maybe you cried a little.

Guess what? God understands—even when you can’t find the right words.

The Holy Spirit helps us pray! He talks to God for us when we don’t know what to say. He understands your heart and carries your prayers to the Father, even if all you can do is whisper, “Help me, God.”

You don’t have to be perfect when you pray. Just be honest. God listens—and the Holy Spirit is always there to help you.

Think About It:

  • Is there something on your heart right now that’s hard to talk about?
  • Can you trust the Holy Spirit to help you pray, even in silence?

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, sometimes I don’t know what to say. But You do. Thank You for praying for me. Help me talk to God with my whole heart, even when I’m quiet. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 7

“God’s Spirit Leads Me!”

📖 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
—Romans 8:14 (NKJV)

When you go for a walk with someone who knows the way, do you let them lead? That’s what it’s like when we follow God’s Spirit.

The Holy Spirit knows everything—where to go, what’s safe, what’s right, and what’s best for you. When we trust Him, He leads us to make good choices, stay away from wrong things, and grow closer to Jesus.

Even if we don’t always understand, we can ask the Holy Spirit to help us obey. He is gentle, loving, and always with us.

So next time you’re not sure what to do, stop and ask, “Holy Spirit, will You lead me?”

Think About It:

  • Have you ever felt a quiet “nudge” not to do something wrong? That’s the Spirit leading you.
  • What’s one way you can let Him lead you today?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for leading me. Please help me follow You and make good choices. I want to walk with You every day. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 6

“The Holy Spirit Is Our Teacher”

📖 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit… He will teach you all things…”
—John 14:26a (NKJV)

Have you ever had a teacher help you understand something hard—like how to read or solve a tricky math problem?

The Holy Spirit is a teacher too! He helps us understand the Bible and shows us what God wants us to learn. He helps us know right from wrong and gives us wisdom when we don’t know what to do.

When you read the Bible or pray, you can ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand. He is always ready to teach—gently and kindly—because He loves helping you grow closer to Jesus.

Think About It:

  • What’s one thing you want the Holy Spirit to help you learn about God?
  • Can you think of a time when you suddenly understood something better after praying?

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, thank You for being my Teacher. Please help me understand what I read in the Bible and learn how to follow You every day. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 5

“The Spirit Gives Life!”

📖 “It is the Spirit who gives life…”
—John 6:63a (NKJV)

Did you know it’s the Holy Spirit who gives us spiritual life?

Just like we need food, water, and air to live and grow strong, we also need God’s Spirit to grow in our faith. He helps us understand God’s Word, makes our hearts happy to obey, and gives us power to follow Jesus.

When we read the Bible, the Holy Spirit makes it come alive! When we pray, He helps us know what to say. When we worship, He fills our hearts with joy.

Without the Spirit, it’s like trying to ride a bike with no wheels—everything feels hard and heavy. But with the Spirit, we can move forward with strength, peace, and life!

Think About It:

  • What helps your body grow healthy?
  • What helps your spirit grow strong in Jesus?

Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me follow Jesus. Please make the Bible exciting to me and give me strength to grow closer to God every day. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 4

“When the Holy Spirit Speaks to Our Heart”

📖 “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin…”
—John 16:8a (NKJV)

Have you ever felt something in your heart after doing something wrong?

Maybe you told a lie, were mean to someone, or didn’t listen to your parents—and later, you felt really sorry. That’s not just a “bad feeling.” That could be the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart.

The Holy Spirit helps us know when we’ve sinned—not to make us feel bad forever, but to help us say “I’m sorry” and make things right. He wants to help us live in a way that pleases God.

When we listen and obey, our hearts feel clean and close to Jesus again.

Think About It:

  • What should we do when we feel the Holy Spirit showing us something wrong we’ve done?
  • Can we talk to God and ask Him to help us do better?

Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for helping me know right from wrong. If I do something wrong, please help me say I’m sorry and do what is right next time. I want to follow You. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 3

“The Helper Who Guides Us”

📖 “When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth…”
—John 16:13a (NKJV)

Did you know God gave us a Helper?

When Jesus went back to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to live inside everyone who believes in Him. The Holy Spirit helps us know what is right and true.

He helps us understand the Bible. He reminds us to do the right thing. He even helps us when we don’t know how to pray.

The Holy Spirit is kind and gentle, but very powerful. He’s like a guide on a trail—showing us where to walk so we don’t get lost.

When you feel a quiet nudge in your heart to obey, love, or tell the truth—that could be the Holy Spirit helping you follow Jesus!

Think About It:

  • Have you ever felt the Holy Spirit helping you do something right?
  • Can you ask Him to help you understand more about God today?

Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to help me. Please guide me to do what’s right and teach me how to know You more. Amen.

🧒 Children’s Devotional — Day 2

“What Is God Like?”

📖 “He who has seen Me has seen the Father.” —John 14:9 (NKJV)

Have you ever wondered what God looks like?

We can’t see Him the way we see people—but God sent Jesus to show us exactly what He is like.

When Jesus hugged children, God was hugging them.
When Jesus calmed the storm, God was showing His power.
When Jesus forgave people, God was showing His mercy.

If you want to know what God is like, look at Jesus! He is kind, strong, full of truth, and He always does what’s right.

That means when you read about Jesus in the Bible, you’re learning about God Himself!

Think About It:

  • What’s one thing Jesus did that helps you understand God better?
  • Can you imagine God smiling at you like Jesus smiled at others?

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank You for showing me what God is like. Help me learn more about You so I can know God even more. Amen.

New Series: That They May Know Him

“Knowing God”

📖 “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
—John 17:3 (NKJV)

Do you know God?

Not just His name—but who He really is?

God made everything. He is strong, loving, kind, and always right. But here’s something special—He wants you to know Him like a best friend.

That’s why Jesus came. Jesus shows us what God is like. When we talk to Jesus, we’re learning about the Father too.

You don’t have to be a grown-up to know God. He loves to talk with children, just like you. You can read your Bible, pray, and ask Him questions. He’s always listening.

Knowing God isn’t just for Sundays. It’s for every day.

Think About It:

  • When do you feel closest to God?
  • What is something you want to learn about Him?

Prayer:
Dear God, I want to know You. Help me understand who You are, and help me follow Jesus so I can know You better every day. Amen.

Empowered: A 100-Day Journey with the Holy Spirit

Living the Christian Life—From the Inside Out

Over the last 100 days, we’ve walked together through the powerful truths of Galatians 5–6, exploring the role of the Holy Spirit in every part of a believer’s life.

From the fruit He grows in us, to the strength He gives for spiritual battle, to the grace that carries us each day—this journey has revealed the Spirit’s presence as not just helpful, but essential.

We learned to walk, not just run.
To sow to the Spirit, not the flesh.
To boast in the cross, not ourselves.
And to live, not by law, but by new creation life.

Whether you’ve been following the Women’s, Children’s, Teens’, or Family devotionals—or all of them together—each day was designed to ground you deeper in Christ and draw you nearer to the One who leads, comforts, convicts, and empowers.

Final Takeaway:

We are not alone.
The Holy Spirit is not a concept. He is a Person—given to indwell, guide, and transform every follower of Christ.

Empowered believers live from a different source, for a different kingdom, and with a different goal:
To know Christ.
To walk in the Spirit.
To glorify God.

💬 Reflection Questions:

  • What has the Holy Spirit revealed to you over the past 100 days?
  • Where have you seen growth? Conviction? Encouragement?
  • How will you continue walking with the Spirit—day by day?

Final Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You for being our Helper, our Teacher, and our Comforter. May we not just remember what we’ve read—but live what You’ve taught us. Let Your presence shape our daily lives. May we walk in grace, truth, and power—all for the glory of Jesus. Amen.

Grace Means Jesus Helps Us Every Day

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.”Galatians 6:18 (NASB 1995)

Paul ends his letter by reminding us that Jesus is with us, helping us in our hearts.

That’s grace! We don’t earn it—Jesus gives it because He loves us.

Try This:
Say, “Thank You, Jesus!” every time something good happens today.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for grace. Thank You for loving me and helping me every day. Amen.
