“The Holy Spirit Teaches Me How to Love Like Jesus”
📖 “Let all that you do be done with love.”
—1 Corinthians 16:14 (NKJV)
Love is the most recognizable mark of a follower of Jesus—not talent, not knowledge, not popularity, not achievements. But real love—the kind Jesus showed—isn’t always easy. It means loving people who are difficult. It means loving people who may not love you back.
It means choosing patience instead of irritation, kindness instead of sarcasm, and forgiveness instead of resentment. You can’t do that on your own. No one can. That’s why Jesus gave you the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit teaches you how to love when your feelings don’t want to.
He softens your heart when bitterness tries to grow.
He helps you see people the way God sees them.
He reminds you of Jesus’ love for you—so you can share that same love with others.
He helps your reactions match Christ’s character.
He gives you strength to choose love even when it costs something.
Love isn’t just an emotion—it’s a decision empowered by the Spirit. When you walk with Him, your love matures, deepens, and becomes more like Jesus: strong, kind, truthful, patient, and steady.
Talk About It:
- Who is God calling you to love in a deeper or more difficult way right now?
- How can the Holy Spirit help you do that?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, teach me to love like Jesus. Help me show patience, kindness, forgiveness, and compassion. Let my actions reflect Your love and help me treat others with grace. Amen.
