👧👦 Teen Devotional — Day 74

“The Holy Spirit Strengthens My Prayers”

📖 “For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us…”
—Romans 8:26 (NKJV)

Prayer is powerful—but it can also feel confusing sometimes. You may struggle to focus…
You may not know what to ask for…You may feel overwhelmed, hurt, or unsure…You may not even know why your heart feels heavy. This is exactly why Jesus gave you the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit strengthens your prayers.
He intercedes for you—meaning He speaks to God on your behalf.
He brings your emotions, fears, hopes, and needs before the Father perfectly.
He guides your thoughts when you pray.
He helps you pray according to God’s will even when you don’t understand what that is.
He aligns your heart with God’s heart.
He brings peace as you pray and reminds you that God hears you.

Prayer is not about saying perfect words—it’s about connecting with your perfect Father. And the Holy Spirit makes that connection strong, steady, and real.

When you feel weak, He prays through you. When you feel confused, He gives clarity. When you feel lost for words, He gives you the ones you need—or prays without words at all. You never pray alone.

Talk About It:

  • When do you struggle most with prayer?
  • How has the Holy Spirit helped you pray when you didn’t know what to say?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, strengthen my prayers. Help me speak honestly to God, and intercede for me when I feel weak or unsure. Align my heart with God’s will and help me pray with faith, peace, and confidence. Amen.
