“Spirit-Given Words”
📖 “He will tell you things to come.”
—John 16:13b (NKJV)
There is something deeply reassuring about being told what lies ahead—not so we can control it, but so we can be prepared and faithful in the waiting.
Jesus told His disciples that the Holy Spirit would not only guide them into truth, but also declare things to come.
Not vague impressions. Not wishful thinking.
But Spirit-spoken clarity rooted in the will of the Father and the testimony of the Son.
The early Church walked with this expectancy.
They moved forward not because they had a five-year plan,
but because they were led by the Spirit who sees beyond time.
Dear sister, God may not give you every detail,
but He hasn’t left you in the dark.
He has sent the Spirit to illuminate the path, to warn, to encourage, and to equip.
When He prompts, speak.
When He reveals, trust.
When He says, “Go,” do not fear.
Reflection:
- Am I willing to listen when the Spirit speaks of what’s ahead—even if it challenges my comfort?
- Do I discern the voice of the Holy Spirit in my personal walk and in the Word?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who speaks what I need to hear in season and in truth. Teach me to listen with faith, to respond with obedience, and to rest in Your perfect knowledge of what lies ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
