“When Truth Is Uncomfortable”
📖 “They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.”
—John 16:2 (NKJV)
There may come a time when you and your children are misunderstood—not because you’ve done something wrong, but because you’ve stood for what’s right in God’s eyes.
Jesus warned His disciples of this, not to frighten them, but to prepare them.
The rejection would come from the very people who claimed to speak for God. What a hard lesson.
And today, it still happens.
When we hold fast to God’s Word, we will sometimes face rejection—even from those we least expect.
As mothers, it’s important to prepare our children to follow Christ with courage and humility.
Teach them that truth won’t always be celebrated.
But we don’t follow Jesus for applause—we follow Him because He is Lord.
Discussion Questions:
- Why do you think Jesus warned His followers about this kind of rejection?
- How can we support one another when following Christ feels lonely?
Prayer:
Father, give our family boldness to stand for You when the world misunderstands us. Help me raise my children to treasure truth more than approval. Let our home be filled with grace and courage. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
