👩‍🦰 Women’s Devotional — Day 22

“I Am the Vine”

📖 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
—John 15:5 (NKJV)

The world tells us to be strong, independent, and self-sufficient. But Jesus says something radically different:
“Without Me, you can do nothing.”

That’s not weakness—it’s truth. And it’s freeing.

You weren’t created to run on your own strength. You were created to abide in Christ—to stay connected to the true Vine, drawing daily life and nourishment from Him.

When we abide in Him, fruit grows—patience in chaos, joy in sorrow, peace in trials, love in hard places. Not because we’re amazing, but because He is.

The branch doesn’t strive to produce. It simply stays connected.

Reflection Questions:

  • What area of your life feels “fruitless” or heavy right now?
  • Are you abiding in Christ—or just trying harder?

Prayer:
Jesus, help me abide in You. I don’t want to live in my own strength. Produce fruit in me that brings You glory. Keep me connected to You today. Amen.
