“Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled”

📖 “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
—John 14:27b (NKJV)

There are moments when fear seems louder than faith—when headlines, heartache, or hidden struggles try to steal your peace. But Jesus speaks directly into that chaos:
“Let not your heart be troubled.”

This is not a suggestion. It’s a tender command. Not because you’re strong enough to make fear go away, but because He is present—and He’s already given you His peace (John 14:27a).

You don’t need to manufacture calm. You simply need to abide in the One who is your calm.

It takes daily surrender to not let your heart go where fear wants to take it. But the Holy Spirit helps you choose trust over trouble, and faith over fear.
Let not your heart be troubled—not because you’ve got this, but because He’s got you.

Reflection Questions:

  • What tends to trouble your heart most often?
  • How can you invite Jesus into those places today?

Prayer:
Jesus, when my heart feels troubled or afraid, help me remember that You are near. Teach me to trust in You—not just in good times, but in all things. Still my soul with Your presence. Amen.
