👩‍🦰 Women’s Devotional — Day 20

 “Peace I Leave With You”

📖 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.”
—John 14:27a (NKJV)

There’s a kind of peace the world offers—a quiet home, a paid bill, a clean medical report—but it’s always temporary. One unexpected phone call or headline can steal it away.

But the peace Jesus gives? It’s different. It’s not based on circumstances—it’s rooted in Him.

This peace isn’t passive or distant. It’s the presence of the Holy Spirit calming your heart when everything around you feels unsteady. It’s the stillness that comes when your soul is anchored in Christ, even if your world isn’t.

And this peace isn’t something you earn or manufacture. It’s a gift. Jesus left it with you—intentionally, eternally, and personally.

You don’t have to search for it. Just receive it.

Reflection Questions:

  • Am I looking for peace in the world’s comforts—or Christ’s presence?
  • What might it look like to rest in His peace today?

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for leaving me Your peace. Teach me to rest in it—not just when things go right, but especially when they don’t. Help me trust in You over what I see. Amen.
